I like the simple blog that I have created. But there are a few improvements it needs. Both visually and functionally

Visual Improvements

On the main blog page I want to improve the layout a bit. I think the biggest impact will be using a carousel of some kind for each category on the page. Instead of showing all the blog posts for the category I want to display three posts at a time with an option to scroll through the rest.

On both main page and the post page I would like to make some styling changes just to make it a little nicer to look at. Unfortunately I am terrible at CSS so it will be a challenge.

Reader Interactions

There is definitely a need for reader interaction on the blog posts. Having a way to post my ideas out to the internet is great, but it would be even better if people reading it could react.

Most importantly I want to add the ability for users to add comments to the blog post as well as read any one else's comments. I'll have to figure out a way get username information for the comments. I think requiring someone to create an account is a little much but maybe some people would like that so they can track their comment history. May also be a good way to get them to subscribe to the email list.

Would also be nice to have like or some other type of reaction system. Something that wouldn't require a username but still allow for a reader to interact.

Analytics

I really want to be able to see how the site it performing. I am curious to see how many people make it to the site and what blog posts they read.

I currently don't do much marketing for my blog, but if I had analytics telling me how many people were reading my posts I would spend more time pushing my blog. I have a YouTube channel and I am pretty addicted to checking the stats on my videos. If I had analytics for my posts I'd do my best to increase the reach as much as possible.

There are probably other improvements I can make but these three things are what I am going to start with. I don't think the improvements will be.too challenging and will make a big difference. Now I just have to decide when I am going to do it.
