Hmm... Think I'll start a Podcast

The Idea

I have an idea to start a podcast with a friend of mine. We will talk about things that we have an interest in but don't actually know much about. Hopefully giving an interesting perspective on the topic.

Getting Started

I unfortunately don't know much at all about podcasting. So we are just going to have to wing it for a bit. The format will be pretty basic to begin, a video podcast of our video call chatting about the topic.

I have a lot of logistics I need to figure out about how to get the recording together and edited together, but I think I can use some of the software I use for my youtube videos to get something put together. Once recorded and ready I will create a new youTube channel and upload it.

The Benefits

There are a couple of benefits I see from starting this podcast. Ranging from sure thing to highly unlikely.

The sure thing is this will give me a reason to regularly chat with a friend. We'll have a good time recording the episodes and get to catch up more frequently than we do now.

This is another thing I am creating so it will help on my journey to becoming more creative. Coming up with the podcast's structure, figuring out topics, and prepping for the recording will all be really good exercises for me.

And finally there is the tiny chance this thing grows and audience and we are able to monetize it one day. I welcome this, but only truely expect to get the first two benefits.
