What next...

New Project

I need to start a new project. But what will it be? I want to try something that is really small that I can push out quickly. Ideally something that is easily marketable and can attract some users. So lets brain storm a few ideas.

Curse word converter

Very simple project. You input a curse word and the app spits out a SFW substitution. Something like "bull sh*t" becomes "bub spit". Question is should this be an iOS app or web app? Generally I want to stick to iOS apps but, this may be too simple for that. I would have to research to see if it seems like something that would be approved.

This would meet my criteria, I could easily create some content using the app. Maybe it could create some funny enough substitutions to make it interesting for people to use.

Diaper Changer Scoreboard

This would settle the argument between many new parents. Who changes the most diapers? Though, probably start different arguments.

Again a simple project, basically just a couple of counters. Could make it interesting by adding endpoints to update the count from separate devices, make a fun UI to display the scoreboard, and maybe a last changed by indicator.

Again has the ability to be either an iOS app or a web app. Might be a fun exercise to make it both. Create an API separate from the UIs.

Two player Number Game

This is an interesting game that I haven't quite figured out all the mechanics for yet. But the idea is for two people to pick a number and the person who picks the lowest number wins those points. Something like start the game with both players having 1-10 and in each turn they both select a number and score the lowest until they run out. Whoever has the most points after all the turns wins. Ties mean no points. Would need to come up with a way for the 10 to count. Maybe 10 vs 1 the 10 gets the points.

This is probably less simple but it's also very interesting and I think it could draw a crowd. Also probably the only option that could be monetized.
